Octomore has an undeniable ability to stimulate conversations in single malt circles. Sometimes bold and brazen at 5 years old, always super heavily peated and bottled at cask strength, every bottle of Octomore becomes a liquid embodiment of ?The Impossible Equation?. It should not work and only upon tasting it for yourself, will you understand its true potential. In each new series of four, we have considered the elements that contribute towards the depth and balance of each youthful drop? Is it in the sourcing of the raw ingredients? The careful selection of the wood?s quality and style? Or is it in the influence of nature; weather, climate, soil? We have initiated this intellectual exercise, welcomed the challenge to our doorstep, and exposed ourselves to criticism in the hope that we will unlock new realms of flavour.
